What to Expect

My home office provides a warm and nurturing environment, where you can relax and feel supported in your healing process. I practice very gentle Japanese acupuncture, and laser treatment is also an option if you don’t want to use acupuncture.

Initial Visit

AN INITIAL TREATMENT IS 1 ½ HOURS LONG. You will receive a history form BY EMAIL, prior to your visit, which you can fill in and bring with you, as well as any medical records that would be useful. You will receive acupuncture at this visit, along with a treatment plan, dietary and lifestyle suggestions, and herbal support. If any testing is recommended, we can discuss that. I do provide functional medicine testing in my office. I recommend that you try to get testing done under your insurance coverage, if possible.

  • Her therapeutic approach includes Japanese acupuncture, Chinese herbology, bioidentical as well as herbal hormonal products, diet and nutrition, moxabustion, cupping and gwa sha, functional medicine testing, and laser and light therapy for pain, soft tissue inflammation and wound healing.

Follow Up Visits

FOLLOW-UP VISITS are 45 minutes to an hour. Your visits will not feel rushed, and there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions, and for me to discover how you have been responding to treatments, and if any changes are needed.

Parking is very easy, and I am also 3 blocks from a bus stop on Linden and Broadway in North Boulder.

Payment is accepted at the time of your visit, by credit card, check or cash. If you are using insurance, your copay is expected at the time of your visit.

I like to get pre-authorization from your insurance company before your first visit, and that can take my billing office 2 to 3 days to get back to me with that information. However, you can also pay for the first visit, and get reimbursed when your insurance is pre-authorized.

I take insurance with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health Care, Kaiser Medicare Supplemental, Workman’s Compensation, and auto insurance.
